Summer is officially here in New England, so it’s time to check out Thai Food in Nashua! Sure, Thai food can be served hot (and spicy), but there are plenty of refreshing menu options to help you beat the heat. Here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy Thai food during the summer.Â
Thailand itself is a tropical paradise. As such, it’s no surprise that Thai food includes many dishes meant to help us stay cool during summer. Some local favorites may include Khao chase, a bowl of rice that is first steeped in ice-cold jasmine water before serving. Other local Thai dishes include Khao chae, taeng mo pla haeng (watermelon with dried fish), yam som oh (pomelo salad), and ma muang nam pla wan (mango with sweet fish sauce).
Of course, the best way to stay cool in the Thai heat is with a dish of nam kang sai, a shaved ice flavored with sweet syrup or condensed milk. A recipe for shaved ice includes:
To Make:Â
Soak dried basil seeds in warm water overnight. Layer soaked basil seeds, ice, and croutons in a glass. Pour syrup over the ice mixture and finish with condensed milk.Â
